Torsten Reichert: Bass Guitar
Born:
7/8/1971
From:Kusel , Germany
Personal:I live
together with my girlfriend Kerstin.
Instrument:Bass
Vitals:5ft 9in,
171lbs, green-blue eyes, blond hair
Early musical Influences: I grew up with music from
the early hardcore scene and metal bands like Flotsam & Jetsam and S.O.D.
Current musical Influences: I'm still a fan of Death-Metal but I listen to
every kind of music. At the moment I listen to some classic stuff because
of my upright-bass and some early Funk/Soul Amps.
Why did you start playing:
When I was a little kid I saw a local rock band
playing in my hometown. I can’t remember if they were good or bad but very
impressive and loud – so I started to play drums the “loudest” instrument.
After a few years I found out that loud is not enough and started to play
the bass.
How did you become part of Vanden Plas: One of my
bass teachers was playing with Vanden Plas. He was not a member of the
band he only helped them out – so Vanden Plas was still searching a bass
player, he made the contact.
Favorite concert:
Death – on their “Human”-Tour
Who do you still want to see live but haven't: James
Brown ...with two bass players
